The sun shone eloquently
And my inner soul woke me up
I yawned, though not sleepy
"He is no more"said Dad vehemently
Followed by a wave of repulsion and despair which ran through me
It was a vague beginning to a monotonous day
But who could help it, he was gone
A mongrel, with an unfamiliar demeanor
Was standing before me
And I only had a bread to give and nothing
But he seemed to ask for something else
He waged his tail, thinking that I might save his life
And I wished my love could make him eternal
I felt fortuitous to have got time to show my benevolence
To feel him , to run my hand over his soft body
I went near him , thinking that he had a thirst of love
But before I could reach him , he dwindled away
Oh! He had gone , He had gone forever
The next day, I opened the door to let the sunshine come in
I saw a mongrel again
With different color
Different tail
Different nose
Different Demeanor
But the same eyes.
