No regrets, will you, let turn into pain
No words, will you, let fuse into nothingness
Our sacrifices,as they are, would never go in vain
No roses would rot amid the creamy pages
No cupcake could have tasted sour
If those sacrifices don't dwell behind cages
The room with the only dim light and the eyes with a broken sleep
That night, you remember how you were lost in a labyrinth
Of words, the sacrifices that give you what you keep
All those apologies and those long awaited arrivals
All those messages under 'drafts' and those half poems
Only those sacrifices would earn us our winners and rivals
No chocolates, No bracelets
No handmade cards or those photograph pendants
The sacrifices which only you could have pet
Tell me, how could you walk on gold
Had you not known the white, the grey and the black
Those hands, only your sacrifices could carefully mould
Numbing pain and the agony without respite
How could you not remember
The sacrifices stretching till the sunlight
The love that was unaware of its bounds
The hate, too timid to open up
Those sacrifices lost on indiscriminate grounds
Not a single drop streaming from the eyes
And not even the prolonged sleepness nights
These sacrifices, as we endured them, do not die
From the dreary abode to magnificent lane
No devotions, not even the gone time
In those sacrifices, may ever go in vain.
